FLO Saline+Plus® is a sterile, preservative-free, non-medicated, isotonic nasal saline spray with important minerals, designed to naturally relieve nasal congestion caused from:

FLO Saline+Plus® may also be used for infants & babies, pregnant mothers, and people with sensitive noses because it does not contain any preservatives, alcohol, chemicals or buffers.

FLO Saline+Plus® helps reduce nasal congestion by flushing the nose and thinning mucus. Cleansing the nasal tissue will remove inflammatory cells and their by-products which helps to improve nasal tissue function.

FLO Saline+Plus® is non-medicated and does not contain any chemicals or preservatives so you can use it as often as you like. FLO Saline+Plus® may be used with other medicated nasal sprays (decongestants, antihistamines and steroids) to help keep your nose clean and clear. INDICATIONS

FLO Saline+Plus® is indicated to provide natural relief from nasal congestion because its gentle formulation helps keep your nose clean and clear of mucus. Nasal congestion may result from many different causes, including:

Colds & Flu

Even a simple cold damages the nasal lining. This in turn effects the normal mucus clearing systems within the nose and makes you feel snuffly and congested.

FLO Saline+Plus® will help thin mucus and wash it away to relieve congestion. It will also help re-start the body’s own clearing systems so mucus can be cleared normally.

Rhinitis

Rhinitis simply means inflammation of nasal tissue. This usually results in a runny or blocked nose. Rhinitis is most commonly experienced as a result of allergy - due to pollens, dust, moulds or animals.

FLO Saline+Plus® will wash away the irritants and dilute other natural toxins which the body produces in response to the allergy or irritation. This means your nasal tissue can return to normal and the symptoms of congestion or runny nose will be reduced.

Sinusitis

Sinusitis simply means inflammation of the sinus cavities. This mostly effects the sinuses underneath the eyes, alongside the bridge of the nose and over the eyebrows. The symptoms of sinusitis include facial pain (including pressure behind your eyes and/or tooth ache), fever and blocked nose. Sinusitis can also occur during or after a cold or flu, or as a result of allergy.

Washing the nose with FLO Saline+Plus® will help remove mucus which is causing a blocked nose. It will also help stimulate the body's own clearing mechanisms in the nose. You should also consider using FLO Sinus Care® to effectively flush away mucus and irritants from inside your sinus cavities.

In most cases, sinusitis will clear up without antibiotics within ten days. If symptoms persist or are more severe, consult your doctor as antibiotics or other medication may also be necessary.

Hayfever

The usual symptoms of hayfever include sneezing, runny nose, nasal congestion, itchy & watery eyes, cough, and asthma in the more severe cases.

Regular use of FLO Saline+Plus® helps to wash away allergy causing pollens. Washing the pollen away reduces nasal congestion as the body no longer needs to produce an allergic reaction. Frequent flushing is recommended to ensure the symptoms associated with Hayfever are kept to a minimum.

In cases of severe congestion, repeat the use of FLO Saline+Plus® until such time as the mucus has cleared and you can breathe again more easily.

FLO Saline+Plus® should also be used to clean nasal tissues just before the use of a nasal steroid spray. This will help keep your nose clear of mucus and improve the effectiveness of the nasal steroid spray.

Nasal Surgery

Following nasal surgery, it is important to remove dry blood and mucus crusts to avoid complication or infection. Use FLO Saline+Plus® to gently irrigate the nose, and optimise your recovery. Because FLO Saline+Plus® is preservative-free it will not sting, burn or irritate the healing tissues. Your surgeon will advise how often and long to use FLO Saline+Plus®.

Pregnancy Rhinitis

Rhinitis of pregnancy can be very uncomfortable, mainly due to a persistently blocked nose. The reason this occurs in pregnancy is not yet known. Unfortunately nasal congestion can be so severe it results in mouth breathing and snoring while sleeping. This causes dryness in the mouth and accelerates dental caries. Most importantly, women who suffer from this condition may get high blood pressure (hypertension) which may cause slowing of foetal growth. Use FLO Saline+Plus® regularly to provide temporary relief of congestion, and to remove crusts that block the nose. Ensure you exercise regularly, stop smoking, raise the head of your bed, and try using nasal splints to minimise these symptoms.
